Here's the one thing that will always put the original Karate Kid above the recent remake, besides the absence of Will Smith's manufactured movie star children, it actually has karate. In the original, the Japanese Mr. Miyagi teaches Ralph Macchio the Japanese martial arts form of karate. And while the Chinese kung-fu taught by Jackie Chan in the remake is a perfectly fine martial arts form in its own right, a movie called the Karate Kid should probably have actual karate. Rest assured our Karate Kid costumes are straight out of the 1984 original. Truly, they are the best around and nothing is ever going to take them down.
