There is a lot going on in the world of Superman this week. Not only does
Michael Shannon has also been hired on to be the villain in this next film release. Fans already Superman will be played by Henry Cavill, and Amy Adam is his Lois Lane. Another of the cast Diane Lane opened her mouth and let out a big secret as well this week. She has seen the script, and there were great precautions taken when she did. The actress says she was locked in a room for three hours to read over the script.
That was all the time she was given with it before the script was snatched away from her. She wasn't supposed to say anything about what she read, but she did anyway. Apparently, Man of Steel will once again visit the origin story of Superman. It isn't clear how much of the film will revolve around the origins, but the story of how Superman arrived from Krypton will once again revisited.
Are any other fans asking themselves why? How many times can the story about how one Super baby crashed down onto planet Earth to be saved and raised by Jonathan and Martha Kent be told? This story has been told so many times that the fans are fully aware of where the Man of Steel comes from. There have been movies, television shows, cartoons, and even comic book all telling this same story to every Superman lover.
Will Man of Steel somehow make this origin story brand new and twist it for today's fans? Or will it somehow end up being something new that hasn't been seen before? That isn't all that likely to happen but fans can definitely hope for it. The fact Superman is once again being rebooted is almost too much to think about. The story has been told so many times before.
The right thing to do here would have been to make a new Superman series launched off of the CW Smallville series that is just wrapping up. Take Tom Welling to the big screen and continue his story. That was thought about, but it didn't happen. What do you think? Do you want to see where Superman came from yet again?
