When did The Big Bang Theory start?

Big Bang Theory first came to television on September 24th, 2007 after having its premiere on iTunes. Season 1 of Big Bang Theory ran for 17 episodes, with the last episode of the first season airing on CBS on May 19th, 2008. Big Bang Theory returned to CBS for a second season on September 22nd, 2008 and ran until the following May, airing its 22nd episode on May 11th, 2009. Season 3 of the hit CBS show began airing on September 21st, 2009 and ran for 23 episodes, with its final episode airing on May 24th, 2010. Season 4 of Big Bang Theory began airing on CBS on September 23rd, 2010. Where Season 1 had just 17-episodes, Season 2 with 22-episodes, Season 3 with 23-episodes, Season 4 marked the appearance of a 24th episode per season for the show. 

The 24th episode of Season 4 of Big Bang Theory aired on May 19th, 2011. Season 5 ran from September 22nd, 2011 until May 10th, 2012, Season 6 ran from September 27th, 2012 until May 16th, 2013, Season 7 of Big Bang Theory began airing on September 26th, 2013 and ran 24-episodes until May 15th, 2014. Season 8 of Big Bang Theory started airing on CBS on September 22nd, 2014 and ran until May 7th, 2015. Season 9 began on September 21st, 2015 and ended on May 12th, 2016. Season 10, which recently finished airing on CBS on May 11th, 2017 began airing on September 19th, 2016.
