Harley Quinn FAQ - TVStoreOnline

Harley Quinn, a.k.a. Dr. Harleen Quinzel, is an iconic character from DC's Batman: The Animated Series. She first appeared as the Joker's side kick--she was completely mesmerized by him and he couldn't care less about her. This relationship continued in every version that the two appeared in since the animated series in 1992.

Harley Quinn, although technically a supporting character to The Joker, became such a success that the character was developed more and her back story was finally revealed in The Batman Adventures: Mad Love, a 1994 graphic novel. The novel won awards and her story finally made its way to animation in an episode of The New Batman Adventures in 1999. Since then, Harley Quinn has developed a very solid fan base and the character has appeared in many live action Batman-related films.
